We have just crushed Week 4! Things continue to look good for the Canucks. Even when they lose, they lose well; so well, that they've reminded me of the 1981-82 Canucks "lunch bucket" squad. A team who came to work every game, with only one plan: to make it as hard as it can be on the opposing team. Sometimes they would win, but many times they lost - BUT - they always made the opponents pay dearly for their wins. The Oilers could come in and beat us 5-1 and feel like they've just played a hellish 7-game playoff series. No one, not even The Great One himself took the Canucks for granted that season. Now I'm not saying that we're off to the Cup - but I'm saying that teams like Washington better not be coming in here expecting us to fold.
In this episode I look at the game against those same Washingtonians... and boy did the Canucks capitalize on a team not ready to fight. I won't tell you who won, but let's just say that Ovechkin and his boys might have just got stung by some Killer Bs.
Well, not so great with the predictions this time out. 1W 2L for a total of 5W 6L... I'm a broken coin, it seems. ;) The week to come looks exciting, and I, for one can't wait for the next episode; it may be even better than this one! Thanks so much for listening!
