Welcome to the first playoff installment of the Canucks Corner Pod, where news regarding the Canucks is limited to a key young player who has said "Nyet" to playing with the Canucks next season and has flown home to play in the "K."

The rest of the pod contains my thoughts about the first round of the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Including a recap of my predictions and the reasons why I was right all along- regardless of actual rightness. I, thereafter, make my predictions for Round 2, and note that I will next return when this round is over so I can once again review and then predict for Round 3.

Also, you may have noticed that I took great pains to get this out almost on time for the beginning of the second round, which I hope will be a good omen for rounds to come. :)

Oh, and you may have noticed the link right at the top of the screen- Canucks Corner is now on Google Play! So, go ahead and play the pod from that store now if you need. Let me know if there is any issues- just email me if you come across anything worth noting.

In any case, until we pod again... keep your stick on the ice!

Welcome to the sixth installment of Canucks Corner Pod- and the last pod of the regular season! In this podcast I talk about the last few games of the regular season, how the standings finished up - including where the Canucks finished, and make some predictions about the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The special game of this pod is, once again, a game against the Arizona Coyotes. However, this is game number 80 on the schedule and most important in regard to where the Canucks finish in the overall standings- which determines which lottery odds the Canucks get for the NHL draft. At this point the Canucks only had three games remaining and were one point ahead of the Coyotes... they NEEDED a loss to catapult the Coyotes ahead and be sure that the New Jersey Devils would remain above the Canucks as well, since they had only one more point than the Canucks.

I also mention that I will be podcasting during the playoffs, so I can talk about the happenings and make some predictions for the next round. Finally, I note that I will be having an episode regarding free agency and the draft- so look forward to that! After which, I will likely take a break over the summer as there won't be much to pod about, but will then return to get ready for the 2017-2018 season.

Speaking about long breaks. Sorry about the one I just took! As I mention in the pod, I had real life get in the way, and a good dollop of good-ol' procrastination, so I apologize for that, and want you to know that I'm back on schedule, such that it is, and you can expect Canucks Corner Pod to continue as noted above. So, thanks, indeed, for listening! I appreciate you coming back to hear what I have to say.
